Third generation karter, Chandler Williams, began his 2005 Competition Year in Norman, Oklahoma, with the premier Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL Race of the America’s. Chandler’s first event of the season with the Grand Products Top Kart team, headed by Champion Karter, Ron White, kicked off in the Cadet class, with a total of 44 entries.

After a disappointing qualifying effort, which placed Chandler 33rd to start the Final Phase, Chandler took the green in his Grand Products Top Kart, with Pitts powered Comer, in professional fashion. Off of a stellar start, Chandler passed half the field throughout the 16-lap Final, finishing 17th overall. Resulting from his performance, Chandler placed himself in the top 10-in Western Region Points, heading into the next Stars of Karting Event in Beaumont, California, April 22 – 24, 2005.
